Please join in for the 2011 planning session. We will be covering the following agenda:

1.2011 Chapter and SIG Message

Chapter Purpose: "Helping New York Learn to Work Better"

Chapter Theme: "Connect with the Cutting Edge"

Proposed SIG Message: “Helping You Succeed in the Workplace”

What is your reaction to this? What are your needs and how can the SIG better help you achieve your objectives?

2.Monthly Topics

We are seeking to cluster the year into topics around workplace issues. In each topical area, we will seek to have an in depth discussion through a series of monthly meetings. We will send the topics in advance of the meeting for members to indicate interest and prioritize.

3.Members as Speakers and External Speakers

A. We will rely on the members to sign up for themes and share their perspective on these issues.
Are there any of specific areas that you have had success with, are currently working on, or are having challenges with?
B. We also need assistance from you to access the top speakers in the field around our topics.
How best to tap into your network?

4.Meeting Approach
We would like to increase the amount of conversational and group dialogue in the meetings. We would also like to orient the meetings towards more problem solving. What are your thoughts with this approach? How best to do this?

5.Tools to maximize the SIG experience

For those who want to contribute but unable to attend in person, please register. We will be sending additional planning and meeting information prior to the meeting.

Members attend free; Non-members may audit one meeting then must join to continue to attend.

This SIG is open only to directors or managers of training and development functions, or to anyone who has held this role in the last 12 months. Registrants will be vetted.
